Breaking down your nugs to fit into your bowl piece is the most tedious process of smoking marijuana. Patients with Parkinson’s disease have an especially hard time doing so and one thing that can make it easier is an herb grinder. Some people may view them as being too expensive for something they can do on their own. However, they are most definitely useful. Not only do they simplify the process of packing your bowl, but they can also provide you with free keef! There are three main types of grinders: one, two, and three compartment grinders.
Grinders can save you money over time. They come in a variety of styles and materials such as acrylic, wood, and metal. One compartment grinders are commonly referred to as two piece grinders and are typically the cheapest ones. These devices consist of one chamber where the marijuana is placed and ground. Disadvantages to one section grinders are that the grindings might vary in size and retrieving the pot is tricky with the grinder’s teeth in the way.
Two compartment grinders are commonly referred to as three piece grinders. They consist of the same grinding chamber as the one compartment grinder but have tiny holes at the bottom of the first section that allow only certain sized herb to fall through to the second one. These grinders offer more evenly ground herb and retrieving the marijuana is much easier than in two piece grinders since the herbs end up in a separate compartment when finished.
Three compartment grinders are commonly referred to as four piece grinders and have an additional 3rd chamber where a fine screen separates it from the 2nd chamber. These grinders are perfect for collecting keef. Keef is much stronger than the weed it came from and is like the caviar of marijuana. Sprinkle a tiny bit of this amazing sugar like substance or put some in your joints and enjoy a stronger high.
